In the management of the supply chain, all functions forming the chain must be integrated. Several functions fulfill specific tasks in line with six basic objectives in the delivery of products from supplier to end-user:
Demand and order management: It is the organization of business activities to meet the orders from customers, shipped quickly and smoothly.
Purchasing: It is the fast and healthy supply of all products and materials required for production in the best quality.
Production: It is the most important process on the business side of the supply chain. It is the conversion of previously purchased material with the right tools in the required performance and time, with low waste. In the economics literature, production is explained as anything that aims to increase the quantity or benefits of goods and services.
